How my Quizzes work..........

Each week there are six rounds of questions.

There are five rounds on subjects that change each week, one of which is a "Sound" round. One point for each correct answer

The final round is "Wipeout". Get a single answer wrong and you score nothing for that round, but..... get all 10 correct and score a bonus 5 points

What also works well is to give each team the option to play a "Joker" on one of the first five rounds - giving them double points for that round

Sound Rounds

These vary from week to week.... hits from the 70s/80s/90s etc, missing lyrics, music from movies, mystery voice, TV themes, children's TV, guitar intros, and many more

Round variations

Acrostic

These rounds have between seven and nine questions. The first letter of each answer then spells out another word (which is not connected to the other answers). If there are questions then the "Acrostic" answer is worth 3 points; 8 questions, 2 points; 9 questions, 1 point

Alpha Links

The last letter of the answer to question 1 is the same as the first letter of the answer to question 2. This theme continues with the last letter of answer 10 being the same as the first letter of answer 1

Connections

These rounds have between seven and nine questions. There is a "Connection" to all of the answers. The last question is "What's the connection?", worth 1, 2 or 3 points, depending on how many questions there are

Who Am I?

These are a series of clues to a mystery person (dead or alive). Ten points if they get the answer on the first clue, 9 points on the 2nd clue, 8 points for the 3rd etc. This does necessitate the Quizmaster to run around getting answers from each team after each clue. Alternatively, teams could be limited to ONE answer when they think they have it correct - of course, if they are incorrect, they score zero for the round.
